Deeply Committed to Taunton
Evan is deeply committed to his hometown. He believes in supporting everyone who calls Taunton home, whether you've been here for generations or just arrived. With a forward looking mindset and a shared vision for progress, there’s nothing this city can’t accomplish.
When we lift each other up and work together, there’s no challenge we can’t solve and no goal too ambitious. Evan is ready to lead with that belief bringing people together, building bridges, and moving Taunton forward.
Lifelong Resident
Evan is a lifelong resident of Taunton, deeply rooted in the community that raised him. His passion for public service began at a young age, writing letters to then Mayor Tom Hoye about the challenges facing the city. That early spark of civic engagement has grown into a steadfast commitment to solving problems and thinking creatively to improve the quality of life for all Taunton residents.
Education
A proud graduate of Taunton High School’s Class of 2021, Evan was actively involved in student life, serving as class treasurer and participating in the THS Drama Club and Youth and Government amongst others. He began his college journey at Suffolk University during the height of the pandemic. He later transferred to Bridgewater State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Political Science and Communications, graduating summa cum laude in 2025.
Dedication to Public Service
Evan’s dedication to public service was shaped by his late mentor, State Representative Carol Doherty. He got his start in politics volunteering for her successful 2020 campaign and went on to serve as her campaign manager in 2022. During college, Evan also broadened his understanding of government by interning for Congressman Jake Auchincloss and U.S. Senator Edward Markey. In 2024, he was elected to the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee, continuing his commitment to advocacy and civic engagement.
Community Involvement
Outside of politics, Evan remains active in the community. He serves on the board of the Downtown Taunton Foundation and is a proud member of the Taunton Community Garden, where he supports local sustainability and beautification efforts.
Professionally
Evan works as a legislative aide in the Massachusetts State House, representing Bridgewater and Raynham alongside State Representative Dennis C. Gallagher. He is also pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration at Bridgewater State University.
Spare Time
Evan enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, exploring new music, trying new foods and drinks, and being with friends and family. His passion for service, paired with deep local roots fuels his drive to make a lasting, positive impact on the city he’s always called home.
